Thirsty Lizard

Ceviot Bridge Yea Valley

Sometimes as our vineyard workers go about their work, the come across “Larry” a Thorny Devil lizard, that has made our vineyard his home.

A self-confident sort of individual, Larry’s always keeping his eye on what’s going on.  Occasionally when it gets a little on the warm side, Larry sidles into the barrel hall looking for something to drink.

That’s when you hear the call “Watch out thirsty lizard”.

Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

CB Heathcote Shiraz

When it gets really hot outside Larry comes into the barrel hall looking for something to cool him down. The Thirsty Lizard Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is just the ticket, fruit driven and easy to drink.

The Semillon gives the wine its full flavour while the Sauvignon Blanc adds fantastic lift to the aroma.

Shiraz

CB Heathcote Shiraz

One of Larry’s favourite things to do is drop in on a BBQ.  And one of his favourite tipples is the Thirsty Lizard B-Pak Shiraz is a fruit driven style, not tons of harsh tannin for Larry.

Traditionally Christmas in Australia is hot, but whenever Larry cracks a Thirsty Lizard Shiraz it reminds him of plum pudding coming out of the oven.

White Shiraz

CB Heathcote Shiraz

When Larry sets out to charm the ladies the Thirsty Lizard White Shiraz is his wine of choice.  First of all the ladies are taken by the pretty pink colour, then they take a sip.  And the rest as they say is history!

The style is fresh and crisp, not too sweet.  Served chilled from the fridge, with a little of Larry’s characteristic charm.

Shiraz

One of Larry's favourite tipples is the Thirsty Lizard Shiraz, whether it is in a B-Pak or a bottle, the wine is exactly the same. It's a fruit driven style, with aromas of dark berries and a hint of cedar, not tons of harsh tannin for Larry.

We have found that Larry is particularly keen on the Shiraz in winter, we like to think he enjoys it with a big Sunday roast.
